Here are a few pictures from our recent road trip to Mr. R's hometown.

It was time for Spring cleaning in Mr. R's hometown. This means that folks put everything they want to get rid of by the curb. Then the city comes around on certain days and picks it up. There was another pile that contained encyclopedias and glassware. There were also sofas, chairs and Christmas decorations scattered about.

A valley oak at a rest stop north of Redding. This was the same rest stop that had a Rattlesnake warning sign. The last line of the sign said something about how common sense should be sufficient to avoid snake bite. Umm, okay... I felt so much better...
